There are numerous ways to train and increase your powerlevel. Listed here will be the many ways you may train, even passively, along with any other way that you could possibly increase your power.
Training posts must be 600 characters in length and be relevant and about the training. Posts will be monitored—note that “Sweat flying off his/her muscles” is not actually relevant, but added detail. Also, the character counter in the post counts the , —those don’t count towards OUR 600 character length goal, so be sure to add those in after you check that the length is correct. We’ll know for sure.
Solo Training
This could be done anywhere in the universe of DBZ, whether it be in a forest, a room, a space ship, or other area. Generally, to train, you do physically or mentally exhausting tasks such as push ups, sit ups, chin ups, shadow boxing, or sprinting. In the series, one of the things Son Goku did was shoot a Kamehameha wave and try to hit himself, to try to increase his endurance. This can be done for you as well, either to try to endure or dodge. Note that you probably don't want to kill yourself doing that. Note that in Solo Training, the Battle Gauge does NOT apply unless you so desire.
Sparring
Surely you know what sparring is. It' somewhat like a gentleman's duel. Both players, or characters, engage each other in combat. They fight as hard as they can, but not with the intention of killing each other. This can be done anywhere that the two desire, just as solo training. Note that in Sparring, the Battle Gauge does NOT apply unless you so desire.
Enemy Battles
The thing to remember here is that the more enemies you battle the better, however, there is a limit. Even if you fight 6 or more enemies, you'll only receive credit for 5. This keeps people from going over board with the number and hoping to get a massive boost. If you wanna get the most out of it, you'll drag the combat on for 1 enemy destroyed per 1 post. Killing too fast may decrease your boost, and fighting too slowly will also decrease the post, as each consecutive post will count as if you defeated an enemy the post before. Maximize on this-- 5 enemies, 5 posts, with one being killed per post. These enemies are goons, or players whom are about 1/5 to 2/5ths of your character's powerlevel.
Boss Battles
This works the same as enemy battles, except that the more characters on your side, the lower the boost from beating that boss. There is no post limit to how long you have to beat the boss or bosses, as beating the boss gives a boost in general. Other players may be counted as a boss if their powerlevel is at least 3/5ths of your characters or higher.
Weighted Clothing
Your character can be augmented with weighted clothing. Please note that until you reach 25,000 powerlevel, the max weight that your character can take is 1/2 of their total weight-- If you weigh 200 pounds, you can only handle 100 pound weighted clothing in total. 25,000 to 50,000 can handle your own weight as weighted clothing. From 50,000 to 100,000, you can handle twice your weight. Use your own judgment from there on. Weighted clothing makes you a bit slower, until you reach the highest level that that weight amount qualifies for. When training and sparring, weighted clothing gives an additional boost to your powerlevel based on the amount of pounds your character is lugging around. More weight you carry, the better, right? This boost also applies as a small boost in posts even outside of training.
Gravity Training
Training can be augmented with an increase in gravity. Unlike
weights, gravity can only be used in certain areas; such as at the
Gravity Center in the Capsule Corporation. Certain ships have a Gravity
Device which can be used for training as well. Planets such as King
Kai's planet in the Otherworld have an increased gravity to them, and
thus give a passive bonus even when not doing training. Gravity and
weights may be used at the same time, and thus can be both used at each
of their own limits. Powerlevels up to 25,000 can train in up to 4x
gravity, 25,000 to 50,000 can train in up to 10x, 50,000 to 100,000 can
train in up to 25x, and 100,000-150,000 can train in up to 50x, and
150,000 to 200,000 can train in up to 100x.
Note that the weights and gravity can have an affect on your character in solo training, sparring, enemy battles, and boss battles.
